Hi.

I’ve been locked out of my account for nearly a year due to eBay resetting my password without asking. Problem is, I don’t have access to the phone number I’m asked to recover or send a new password back, and it seems like the number starts with 08 and ends in 51, the same as their customer service number, which I never provided nor registered in my account, therefore, there’s no way that even typing their number I get the chance to receive a code.

On another note, I contacted CS to update my phone number, they said they did and guess what, no changes made whatsoever, so I’m still stuck with the same issue.

i had my account for 9 years and sold hundreds of items. This seems like an actual joke and I can’t anymore.

Customer Services do not have an active  phone number not sure where your  new number came from and they will never change a password unless requested.

You will need to contact eBay Customer Services to sort this as they have the necessary access to that account.  I strongly suggest contacting them very first thing in the morning when the lines first open at 8 a.m.  in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I do recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
