Do i have to wait until bid expires before accepting?

If you have a bid,  then no offers can now be accepted,  and the sale runs on in auction style only, in fairness to the other bidders.

It's always essential to list auctions starting with the lowest amount you are happy to receive.  Then,  if you receive one bid,  which more than often happens,  you will have received the price you wanted.

Bids do not expire, at end of auction then if you only have one bid, that buyer wins. 

Best offer ends as soon as you get a bid.
