My account has been restricted because I arrived on holiday in Thailand and logged into my account. They are requesting to call back on the phone number which I set the account up with in 2020. I have since gotten a new phone / phone number so I can no longer receive a call on that number. I last updated my number in 2022 and had no issues ever since.
I can send in my Passport, Driving License, Bank Statements, FaceTime - all items have being sent & I have 100% positive feedback, all my funds are on hold and eBay are saying on the phone they are not sure what happens with the funds in this case if the account can't pass the second layer of security.
Why can't common sense prevail, this is just so stupid and head numbing - is there any other way around this? eBay are telling me to create a new account and start again which makes no sense at all, any help is appreciated,

Sorry we are just members like yourself. We have no influence with getting ebay to use common sense when this sort of situation occurs.
Are you back in the UK, if so I suggest you try CS early in the morning when with luck you will get Dublin and some real help.

Thanks John, tried 3x times over here and had Singapore each time, they are like talking to AI Robots, just repeat 'sorry sir' - very numbing.
I will take your advice and hope to speak to somebody in Dublin as previous experiences have also being positive with them. If anyone reading this has another solution please let me know as I am in Thailand for the next 6 weeks,

Amazing - THANK YOU. As mentioned, I can FaceTime, send bank statements, driving license, passport, verifying the email used to register, verify the number on file - everything.
Just not the old number I used years ago,
