I have just tried to bid on an item and an error message comes up to say 'The item can't be purchased since you have received 2 Unpaid item strike(s) in the last 12 month(s)', however yesterday I bidded on 2 items and paid for them straight away with no issues.
I did bid on 2 items some months ago, but was unaware that I had won them as I usually get a message to pay, which I did not receive in this instance, and when I looked at my Ebay account and tried to pay it wouldn't let me as it said the items had been relisted. I did contact the seller of one of the items to ask if I could pay, but they did not get back to me.
I have not received an email or anything in my Ebay messages to say that I have been restricted, or how to get this restriction removed. Please can you help as I am a responsible payer who just wasn't aware the 2 items were awaiting payment.
Sellers are able to put blocks on people with non-payment strikes. So it will differ from seller to seller. It's not an ebay restriction on your account. Contact the seller and ask if they will put your ID on their exemption list to allow you to buy.
when you don't pay the sale is cancelled and you get a non payment strike, sellers can set a block to prevent bidders with 2 or more non payment strikes
not all sellers use the block,
the seller you purchased from before didn't use it,
but the one whose item you want to bid on, does
there is nothing you can do to remove the strikes
