seller cancelling an order

I purchsed an item at the buy it now price & paid. the seller cancelled the order and retuned my money. The reason for the cancellation they gave to ebay was the item is no longer available. the seller messaged me saying the but it now price was wrong & have relisted the item at a higer price. The seller has lied about the reason they cancelled the order.

I want the seller to honour my purchase

Yep the seller lied here,  and this is bad selling,    but selecting an out of stock reason for the cancellation eBay will make them pay a seller fee,  and give them a damaging defect on their account.  It does not take many defeccts to ban a seller for life ,  from selling on eBay.

eBay do not like unhappy buyers,  but unfortunately,  there is nothing to force a seller to send out a paid for item except to place sanctions on their account,  as above.
