'payment pending' on item collected in person

Recently sold an item on eBay, the buyer paid through PayPal as normal and selected the 'collection in person' option. Item has been collected, but the funds have not been released yet. Anybody know when they will come through? Or if there's a way I cab speed this process up? Thanks in advance

Ideally collection items should be paid by cash on inspection/collection, avoiding a 21 day payment hold and PayPal fees although you cannot refuse if buyer insists on using PayPal (except Vehicles/Property).

For info >  All new/occasional/returning sellers are liable to a 21 day hold on payments.   Entering tracking details showing delivery is said to release funds in around 7 days.   Without tracking, you will need to wait for payment release.
