no haven't sold for a few years, so just to confirm whatever I put my item on for eg £10 there is no insertion fee?

As long as you list for minimum 5 days & don't add extras like reserve & adding BIN to auction, the n you get 1000 free listings per month, but you may be restricted for a short while as you are classed as new seller.
