fees for a car that didn't sell on e-bay

Hi.

I recently advertised my car for sale on e-bay. I advertised it as an auction with a reserve price. At the end of the auction my car didnt sell so I relisted it as a fixed price auction and although I got a lot of offers there was only one which was close to my price. I counter offered him and he accepted, however he didnt turn up to collect the car and I actually sold it to a guy through Gumtree. Now e-bay want to charge me £28.00 in fees for a car that didnt sell through e-bay, surely this cant be right ???

You are not allowed to advertise any item elsewhere whilst advertising on ebay.

Adding a reserve price is very expensive & non refundable.

The prices will be right.

Vehicles are never free to list/relist and fees are charged differently ... sold or unsold.   Basic fee = £10.00 (+ £7.99 Reserve you added) + £10.00 to relist ...  A final 1% FVF selling fee is also charged when sold (min £20.00 > max.£35.00) ...
