I have purchased something and it has been delivered today. unfortunately it is a totally different thing that has arrived..I have texted seller and sent photos. What is a reasonable time to wait for reply or would I be better contacting e bay? Thanks
The process of getting a refund is automatic. There is not usually any need to contact eBay CS.
You have 30 days past the delivery date to open a case in the Resolution Centre. One day past the latest delivery date, is the earliest you can open a case in the Resolution Centre:
https://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/
Escalate the case on business day 4-20after opening the case if refund not started in the meantime. eBay will force a refund if need be. You may be asked to return the item at the seller’s expense before you are refunded.
Sending photos of the item is not necessary to win a case.
All you really need to do is open a case of not desrcibed with ebay using there resolution centre, see here,http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/ the seller will have to provide you with a prepaid return label.
The seller has 3 days to sort the problem before you can escalate the case to ebay.
