What is all this add item specifics about, I mean CD colour ? etc

I only have about 500 items how do people who have a lot more get on. Some of the requests are so unnessasary

If you use the business / advanced listing tool,  it's free and for everyone to use,  not just businesses,  then you skip all the unnecessary daft item specifics that have appeared on all listings.  Find it top right of the  age,  and you select Sell.

I have to skip   item specifics on American football teams when I'm listing a Winnie The Pooh teddy !

the most silly one is CD colour 99.9 % are silver but I am expected to do all mine
