Hi,
I'm based in Portugal and I've made a purchase from outside of the EU. Accordingly to the new law Ebay added the VAT to the total value of my purchase.
My problem is that now the Customs is asking for me to pay it again.
There is a reference to an IOSS number in the address provided to custom, I'm not sure if that has to do with the Import One Stop Shop that should be used to handle the VAT from Ebay to the portguese customs.
Any advice on what could I do to avoid paying VAT two times? I've already opened a case with the Portuguese customs systems but my hopes are small on that one.
