Hi.
I recently purchased a dress from a seller that was nothing like what was being advertised so I wrote an honest review to reflect this to stop others making the same mistake.
a refund was given but now the seller wants me to change my review to a positive one.
Because I haven't, they are now sending me threatening messages saying they will personally come to my address as they now have it and "see what happens".
How do I report them to eBay for threatening behaviour and using my address threatening to come to it.
many thanks
You can find eBay's policy on member to member contact, including threatening behaviour, here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/member-behaviour-policies/membertomember-contact-policy?id=4262...
However, eBay isn't a law enforcing authority. If anyone threatens physical violance, or even uses menacing terms or veiled threats like "will personally come to your house" you should not hesitate to report this to the police.
Using bullying or intimidating behaviour isn't acceptable, and if anything said leaves you feeling fearful and anxious for your safety you should definitely report it. Otherwise, bullies like this will think they can get away with it, and go on to do the same to other people.
