I sold and item and the buyer paid. The buyer then changed his mind and cancellled the order and I refunded the full amount The item was then relisted I now find that the item is still classified as sold and in the sold section but also in the section of items for sale. This is stupid, the item is now listed in 2 seperate catergories sold and for sale. You would have thought that an organisation the size of ebay would have IT systems that work correctly I find navigating the site dificult. I cant delete from the sold section and I cant find a way to contact ebay to get this anomily corrected No wonder prospective buyers get confused. Any suggestions as ebay dont seem to want to be contacted PCPK09

Buyer's can't cancel orders. Only you, the seller can do that (and you didn't even have to accept a change of mind cancellation, as you're not a business seller).
What you should have done was to cancel the sale using eBay's cancellation procedure: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/getting-paid/sellers-can-cancel-order?id=4136&st=12&pos=2&query=...
EBay would have taken care of everything, your buyer would have been refunded, you woud have received a credit for your final value fee.
If you didn't use this procedure eBay will naturally treat the item as sold, because it was sold and you haven't - as far as eBay is concerned - cancelled it. You can't cancel it now or your buyer will be refunded twice.
It was never necessary to contact eBay, just to use the procedures they provide.
Buyers cannot Cancel they can send you a Request to Cancel. If you have just Refunded them that isn't how you as a Seller Cancel a Sale. You should have gone to More Actions to the right of the Item - Cancel this Order >> Buyer Requests to Cancel. You need to use a Desktop Browser not the App.
Your Selling Fees would then be Credited back to your Seller Account.
