Seller question

Hi can anyone help. I've posted a handbag to a buyer. Special delivery next day.    I've informed her they tried to deliver. But she's out.  Possibly. It's waiting for. A new delivery date. Or collection at the post office.   Now the lady is claiming. She's.  Working out of a P.O. Box.     Surely. Post office. Will direct. Parcel.  To.  The P.O. Box.    I don't know how they work.   Thanks

What counts for you, as the seller, is whether or not the tracking record states that it was successfully delivered to the address the buyer has registered with eBay/PayPal.

As this was special delivery, RM won't leave it on the doorstep - for the delivery to be successful, it will have to be signed for. I'm not sure what happens if the buyer has arranged with Royal Mail for post to be directed to another address. In any case, what you will need is a tracking record that states delivery was successful.

If it isn't successfully delivered, the buyer can use eBay's money back guarantee to claim a full refund. Even if the reason it wasn't successful is that she was never in, and didn't collect it from the post office.

No-one says it's fair. This is eBay.
