Hi guys,
Rather annoyed, I made a seller an offer on an item for £15 and they rejected it, so I figured I'd hold on for auction.
I won the item for £10, as I was setting up the paypal the seller cancelled the purchase stating they'd "sold out"
When in reality, they just weren't happy with the selling price.
Surely this isn't ethical? I can't report it, I can't leave feedback etc.
Of course yo can leave feedback!! Look in actions but you must be careful what you say as it can be removed by ebay if you break the rules, so just say "Seller did not honour the sale". You can't report, except by leaving feedback. Sellers can do this and there is nothing to prevent it, but it will damage the sellers account.
I am not sure if it stll works this way but cancelling a sale for out of stock, the seller should still pay a selling fee.
