SELLERS DELAY POSTING DUE TO NEW EBAY PAYMENT SYSTEM

I see sellers are delaying their postings due to Ebay's new payment system, contrast to when Paypal dealt with the payments.  Seems quite reasonable that ebay sellers should take this action.  SO THE QUALITY OF SERVICE FALLS.

Likewise it is unreasonable to give ebay access to personal banking, when Paypal can still provide an excellent service, and IMPORTANTLY has the track record of doing so.  Indeed the reality is that a new stand alone bank account ought to be set up by a seller to ring fence its ebay activities. SO THE QUALITY OF SERVICE FALLS.

So  consequently I feel that it is time to look at alternatives routes to marketing unwanted items, perhaps where a more targetted approach direct to enthusiasts will  achieve higher cash realisations.

Obviously commercial operators will not be fussed, but I have made up my mind.

A waste of time you posting this on here

No one from ebay will see it and no one from ebay will be bothered if another member stops selling

We have to accept the managed payments of not sell so our choice.

If sellers do accept the managed payments then they accept the rules and if ebay says a buyer has paid and to post then that is what the seller has to do.

If they dont then they will get not recieved disputes opened against them

Too many and they will be removed from ebay

Ebay and paypal are seperate business so it is up to ebay as to how they run their site.

Buyers can still pay by paypal if the seller has paypal on this list of accepted payments but the money goes to ebay not the seller. Once the fees have been removed then the money is put in the sellers bank

Many of us are already on this system and it seems to work ok if a bit slower with payments into our banks than the instant paypal

Sorry but a rather foolish approach to something very simple.

Once payment is made the money is in the system and ebay says PAID and DISPATCH. No different to paypal the money is in the system and can be seen, but it can also be seen on Managed Payments, isn't that good enough, or do sellers have to have cash in their hands first.

I opted for weekly payments, turns up on Tuesday each week including money receive up to Sunday. I can at any time see exactly what is in Managed Payments and how much will be sent on Tuesday (it arrives within about 2 hours). Those sellers who will not post obviously have never looked in PAYMENTS and are risking their accounts by having late deliveries.
