I have proof of postage and I'm not only being asked to refund the buyer but getting a charge of £14. Impossible to contact eBay about this

sounds like the buyer claimed unauthorised use and the only way a seller can defend that claim is by providing proof of delivery.

I have proof of postage only. I know sometimes things go missing. It’s not
the refund that’s making me angry, it’s the £14 fee. eBay are not for
sellers, they rip off with the constant fees.
I have removed my other items and will never sell on eBay again.
I’m not a shop, I’m selling my clothes for next to nothing because I need
money and now they have added to my problem

It would be very useful to have a full explanation.

Proof of Postage is just that, you need proof of delivery to win a case. The PoP is only of use to support a claim on Royal Mail.

Sellers should always deal with Cases when opened, allowing Ebay to get involved can prove VERY expensive.
