Returning to seller

I've started a return to seller, downloaded label and been charged £16.62 how do I get the money back the seller won't refund it. But I used the label I was sent

It is important to understand the type of case.  A "return" applies to business sellers only for "change of mind" for example.  A "not as described case" applies to all sellers and - as implied - is for faulty  or damaged items. 

 

For "return" you pay the postage and for NAD the seller does.  If you opened a "return" [not "NAD"] there is no way to get the postage back even if you opened the wrong case. £16 odd sound amazingly high!

It's usually around £3.50 to retuen an item unless it is very heavy or bulky and then the seller must send a more appropriate one.

You won't be charged unless you use the label.

As @arkwebus  explains, you pay for a straight return, but the seller pays for a Not as Described return. 

If you've inadvertantly ticked the wrong reason for your return, this is why you are having to pay. There is bno way to get the postage money from the seller in that case.
