Refund on damage to free extra

Hi,

I've sold an item to a customer and included a plastic case which protects the item as a freebie included in the listing (listed as free).

the plastic case has arrived slightly damaged and the buyer now wants a refund. Where do I stand on this? The actual item is in perfect condition - it is just the protective case which has a tiny bit of damage.

May have been free, but because you listed as part of item still has to be perfect.

Buyer can open item as described case, you issue returns label & refund in full on return.

You could try offering a part refund, but that is between you & buyer.
