Purchase of an RNS510 Head Unit

Hi everyone I am after some advice please I was watching a head unit fit my car on eBay when the seller message me outside of eBay via text message and offered me a deal if I paid through PayPal friends the deal was good as it saved me £60 however when the unit came it wasn't suitable for my car so I contacted the seller to ask if I could return it for a refund he has declined and said he asdvertised on eBay as no returns but the sale wasn't done through eBay !  Also I have tried to get help with PayPal but because it's a friend transaction you can't take it to the resolution centre please help any advice would be greatly appreciated 😞

How did the seller get your contact details to arrange the off eBay sale?

You have done an off ebay purchase so no cover there and Friends and Family on paypal is like giving cash.

There is nothing you can do

To be covered you have to buy on ebay and pay by paypal

If ebay realised that an off ebay deal had been done then both you and the seller could be suspended or restricted

If they are a business then try Citizens Advice for their help but I doubt you can do anything
