Proof of receipt

I recently posted a coin to Colombia which the buyer asked to go International Standard.

She then said that she had not reieved the coin and I sent her the proof of postage.

She then made a claim against me and Ebay upheld her claim and so just debited my account.

What could I do and I think this system is open to fraud as proof of receipt is the only thing Ebay will acept and if the buyer won't pay ??????

You offered Standard Delivery (Standard Int'l Postage) Estimated delivery within 8-18 working days

OR

Royal Mail International Tracked Estimated delivery within 9-15 working days

If you don't want to be in this position again remove the standard option and only offer tracked.

If you knew this, why didn't you use a tracked postal service to prove delivery?

If you didn't realise this, are you saying that you've been selling here for years without reading the terms and conditions? You can find eBay's full money back guarantee policy here:  http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html

unless a seller can prove delivery with online tracking they will lose a not received case.

What do you mean 'if the seller won't pay'?
