Problem verifying my phone number "Something went wrong. Check everything is right below."

As noted above - I'm trying to sell an item, but before I can list my ad it wants to verify my mobile phone number which I have checked is correct. I keep getting the error message "Something went wrong. Check everything is right below."

Anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

I doubt that is the real reason, I think it is more likely that you have not set up your account so that you can sell.

I suggest you enter "Start Selling" in Help & Contact and see what you need to do.

Thanks for your reply. I've sold things previously, I have created a draft listing now and it is at this point it is asking me to verify my account with the phone number and then the error message. I have verified my account within account settings today using the same phone number and that worked fine. The problem just seems to be in relation to this listing...
