Posting once paid

Can i ask now e bay takes the payments and fees there is a delay from payment to bank about 48hours! yet it says post NOW! i'm worried if i post before the money is actually in my account something goes wrong and the buyer gets a item for free? hw does it work please as i cannot seem to find the answer.

once ebay says it is safe to post you need to post the item

the money is as 'safe' as it was through paypal

i.e the buyer can open a case and claim a refund for non delivery or item not as described, they can't 'cancel' the payment
