Postage service cost exceeds £3.50 maximum allowed for selected category.

Driving me nuts this message. Why does it come up? Whenever I ask the Post Office for their Special Delivery its ALWAYS more than £3.50.

I've sent Star Wars figures and they were £7.50. Other larger items where £13-15. So why does it insist my postage of £10 is too much. I know the item will end up being more than £3.50

When you go to list your next item do this,  after selecting Sell go top right of the page and select the business / advanced listing tool. Ignore that it says it’s for business and high-volume sellers only, it isn’t, it’s for everyone to use, and you will have far more control over your account,  you will receive a fuller list of postal and courier options to choose from,  and can enter the postage and service costs of your choice.

If the issue is an item with a capped postage,  just add the difference to your starting price.

Use a desktop browser and not the app to manage this.

I see the option you mean now. I was already on that and still keeps moaning that the max allowed is £3.50.

Is it something to do with the size of the package that you choose?

No it's a listing category cap. You need to add the extra to your item price.

That explains why it doesn't do it on every item then.
