PayPal not working - put debit card on eBay and deleted PayPal and now buyer can’t pay.???

Hi I recently sold an item and my buyer said they paid me but eBay said that it wasn't paid. I saw on BBC news website that there is a problem between eBay and PayPal so I cancel my PayPal and put my debit card details on eBay and now my buyer is saying she still can't pay and doesn't know what to do

your item was sold through the old system, not managed payments, so you need a paypal account to receive your payment

as you have closed your paypal account the buyer cannot pay for the item they have purchased

Sellers are no longer paid into paypal, you have to add your bank details to receive payment, not instant like paypal.

If you don't add bank info, you can't sell.

Buyers can still pay via paypal, processed by ebay/Adyen.
