Parcel left in unsafe place and not where I’d requested.told so by ebay only won’t refund me

A parcel i ordered was left on my doorstep of which is unsafe n unsecure. But I'd requested that it be delivered to my neighbour. Received email stating that it would be only for them to not do so and leave on my doorstep which is in a tower block and easy for someone to take. Which is what happened. Contacted ebay who confirmed it was unsecure and I would get refund only for them to turn around and say I'm not entitled. I sent all emails as proof but yet they won't refund

The only way you can make that sort of request for an ebay purchase is to use your neighbours address at checkout as your address.  Of if RM was used and you have leave at neighbour set up.  Otherwise the seller has to send to the address you give at checkout and what happens next is down to the courier.

How did you ask for it to be left at your neighbours?
