When I list a book, for example, I enter in the listing title the author(s) and the title of the book so why oh why are eBay insisting I now have to fill in one of their silly little boxes supplying the same information.  These new rules are driving me crazy. Been doing this now for over 20 years without any problems - if its not broken then don't fixit!  Mynack

the search system uses the item specifics to find items when bidders use the filters

if you don't fill in the item specifics your items will not be shown when bidders use the filters to narrow their search
