Hi
if a buyer receives a damaged item and returns an item to the seller, how would buyer prove item was received already damaged?
is there an accepted or suggested process to follow when you open an item a find it is damaged.
regards 🤔
If you are the Buyer just open an Ebay Returns Case for Item Not As Described within 30 days of Delivery. The Seller has 3 Business Days to Accept the Return and generate a Returns Label through the Case. If they don't just Escalate the Case after 4 days for Ebay to Step in. They will Force the Refund. You don't have to prove anything. Just go through the Process.

They don't have to prove that it arrived damaged. EBay takes the buyer's word for this.
There is seldom any point in the seller disputing a money back guarantee case for an item that is faulty, damaged or not as described. EBay's policy is to support the buyer unless they can establish that the item matched the description. As eBay never even sees the item, and doesn't require any evidence, it's almost a foregone conclusion that they will find in the buyer's favour.
