How to spot a scammer?

Hi All,

I've been trying to sell for ages now a brand new laptop howerver several times already buyers tried to scam me with either trying to go purchase my item or to provide phone number or email to continue the conversation off ebay. 

Now I my item has once again been sold however I have seen only a confirmation from ebay but the funds are not present in neither by PayPall nor bank account.

My questions are:   How long should I wait before posting the item?

If I post the item but realise it was a scam how would ebay go and resolve the issue?

How long does it take to get the payment cleared and transfered into my account?

Hasebay told you that you have been paid, if so they also tell you to post.

Assuming you have been paid you are a new seller so any money receive will be HELD for 21 days before going to your Bank account.

You shouldpost using TRACKED mail, enter the tracking on the ite, ebay has several ENTER TRACKING reminders, and when tracking shows as delivered money is released early. 

I suggest you enter HOLD in Help & Contact to find out what this is all about.

In terms of Scammers, they never pay, just try to get you to deal outside ebay and send you fake messages saying you have been paid.
