How do you get ebay to help with a faulty item?

I am trying to get some help with a faulty item, i have tried contacting the seller and ebay say thatthey can step in after 3 working days but i am stuck in a loop trying to get this sortted and it ends with me not being abel to contact anyone. It is so frustrating i am close to throwing my laptoop through the window. Can any body help please?

It has to be at least 3 complete working days, ie. 24 hours x 3.    Then go to the return case via the link on the ebay message or in Resolution Centre, click on Case Details > Respond to Case > Escalate This Case > Submit.    eBay can only enforce seller pay return postage if they're in the UK.
