Hi from Austin, offer accepted but not cleared from system

Hi ,

In my absence from home a buyer viewed one of my items, made an offer to my partner that was acceptable, paid and took the item. When I returned home their offer had expired from the system so I can't tell ebay we accepted it. How can I make this make this right within the system please?

The offer should have been made through best offer and accepted that way

If they did not then you have an off ebay sale whici is against ebay policy

Best to keep quiet and hope ebay dont realise as you can be suspended or restricted for exchanging

contact details before an item is bought and selling without it being sold on ebay

Have you removed it from site.

The buyer did make an offer in the normal way when I was away from home. By the time I had returned home to reply the offer had time expired. It was not my intention to not comply with the "rules" and my was question was how can I remedy the situation within the ebay system?

you can ask the buyer to submit another offer for you to accept, but I doubt they will be willing to do that, if they won't, all you can do is end the listing
