Help with a cancelled order

Hi all,

I'd like some help with the situation below if anyone can offer advice.

About a  month ago I purchased an item and paid for it using a debit card.

The seller cancelled the order soon after.

eBay 'sent' me a refund for the order, however I haven't received any money yet . The system shows the refund as unknow and the seller didn't receive any payment.

Where could money be? is there any way to raise this with eBay as I couldn't find an option to contact directly?

Is it a new seller? Money would be held for 21 days but if you opened a Not Received case you would have received the refund BUT it would go back to source that is your Bank account.

If seller just tried to refund when he cancelled and outside an Ebay case, I cannot guess what would happen.

In your purchases has the £ PAID symbol changed to the Refunded Symbol, if not open a NOT RECEIVED CASE if you are within 30 days.
