I have an item listed with GSP but potential Canadian buyer sees no price for shipping just 'contact seller for price'.

What am I supposed to do with that?

Previously GSP buyers have been essentially invisible to me as I just ship to Ebay with standard domestic service.

This time it doesn't seem to be working.

loads of your listings don't show the GSP

they are probably in a category that isn't included in the GSP

Over the last 18 months I’ve had a miserable time with parcels going missing and the internationals (GSP & direct) have a 100% loss rate so we decided no more international and opted out of GSP on our preferences.
Last week I posted a bunch of stuff for an elderly relative only to find (when I started getting requests for int shipping) a bunch of the listings had GSP on them?????????

I certainly didn’t do it so Ebay in their wisdom must decided to change my preferences and stick GSP on items that suited them.
Trouble is it isn’t working properly as buyers are not seeing any shipping cost and are being referred back to me.
I’ve had a call with Ebay customer services and they can’t explain it, I’ve asked them to escalate it but don’t hold out much hope of an explanation let alone an apology.

My suspicion is that as I didn’t fill the weight and size fields on the listing tool the algorithm can’t calculate a price..... Again customer services couldn’t say.

As a relatively irregular user its all made that much more difficult by Ebay constantly meddling with the listing ‘tools’

Sounds like Canada is excluded for that item, for some reason.   You can send direct to buyer.   

If you use Royal Mail look up the weight and size on here:

http://www.seajays.org.uk/postage/

Enter the weight at the top, and check the maximum sizes allowed for each parcel size in the lefthand column to choose the appropriate postage cost.   You'll need zone 1.    

And if they win send an invoice with that postage cost.

Canada is certainly listed. I wouldn't mind but Ebay added GSP to the listing even though my preferences are opted out. I don't do international postage after several painful losses in transit.
