On the weekend of 05/06 June 2021 my sellers account was compromised by a third-party gaining access and listing items of plant and machinery for sale, seemingly based in Germany. eBay were alerted to this by a suspicious buyer and some of the rogue listings were removed not before some had been purchased.
With restrictions being put on our accout, understandably. I had several conversations eBay agents regarding the rogue items that needed removing.
Unfortnately one agent made a catastrophic error and removed one of our genuine listings that had been live since 2018 and the 40+ associated undispatched orders were also cancelled.
This listing with 13681 sales is a core part of our business so was shocked on seeing it had been removed in error.
In the past 365 days that listing has generated a huge income through the sale of 7375 items and the best seller in it's category.
Many calls have been made to eBay speaking to several agents regarding getting the listing re-instated as it was prior to its removal with promises that it will be done, but with no luck. They have managed to restore the undispatched orders but not the listing and history.
Although I have an identical listing now running it isn’t showing the 13681 sales and associated feedback that gives consumers the confidence in our products and service.
There seems to be no one person that can look after my case and sort it out.
It's very frustrating as the I can see the sales history but no way of restoring it myself.
Does anyone have any ideas to resolve this?
