Exercise bike - faulty

Hi all,

I bought an exercise bike from ebay in Jan this year, and the correctly affixed handlebars have shorn off the frame of the bike. Now is this metal fatigue? Poor workmanship? Poor materials? the thing is it needs to be welded back on,and the response I received from the seller was 'oh, take it to a shop and have it repaired!!

Right, my local shop does welding as a side venture (not!), and he has not responded to my latest contact to him ( been over 10days). I sent him loads of photos etc and still no reply....Basically where do I stand and ehat can I do please?

Sorry but you are out of time to do anything with Ebay. You had 30 days to Return for a Refund. PayPal offer Buyer Protection for 180 days but only for Items which are Faulty on Delivery.
