E-mail threat

i have been sent a nasty email by another member  who has said in his words he will **bleep** me over and take revenge

all started when i removed his bid on an item i was selling

four months before i sold the same person some used tickets for 30-35 pounds he claimed he never took delivery of them and so i refunded him

he contacted me after a month saying he had the items but refused to pay for them saying i should claim off the royal mail ect so i let him keep them and told him not to bid on my items again (he has ) and i retracted the sale

then i get this threat which is very scarey as i live alone and he has my address and is just an hour away

What can i do i may have to close my account

Block Bidders here by adding his name in the box
https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?bidderblocklogin

Then Here "Don't allow blocked buyers to contact me" to block messages, any messages that come through til the blocks are active just delete.

I don't see how closing your account will help, but if you want to click on Help & Contact or Contact us at the top or bottom of every page, and enter "close account" in the search field.

If this message came using eBay's messaging system you can report it to eBay through this link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/member-behaviour-policies/membertomember-contact-policy?id=4262...

Frankly, I wouldn't count on eBay doing much, and if it came direct by email they can't do anything anyway.

Threats of violence or even veiled threats like "we know where you live" should be reported to the police. The chances are that this threat would never materialise, but even using menacing behaviour to make people feel anxious or scared is intolerable behaviour. Report it. Otherwise, this person will think they can get away with it, and go on to treat others the same way.
