Declined a partial refund and looking for pathways to pursue something similar

Hi I accidentally mistook the partial refund as being a partial sum and just going ahead and rejecting it when that was the option I was looking to do as it includes the whole sum of money that I paid for an item. Is there any way I can work around that to get something a refund again as I've been told that the cancellation request from the seller can only be put through once hence my option for the partial refund has been lost. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Thank you

If the case closed then that is the end of it on ebay.

Why did you want a partial refund

If you paid by paypal then you may be able to open a dispute there but it would be

for a full refund and you would have to return the item

So just to confirm, I had opened a return request at the same time which was accidental (i know tell me about it plenty of mistakes from my side in between) and I have closed that return request now and in the options it did come up with the option to classify it as accidental, which I did. I also requested from the seller to still send the item prior to declining the partial sum refund so would the seller still have to abide by that and send the item or can he simply shrug it off and relist the item again? Because I did request for the seller to send the item if nothing else is possible a couple of times. Also it wasn’t done via PayPal it was done through visa debit.

The seller should send but if they dont then you cant open a dispute for not received as you have already opened a return request and closed it.

Right I understand, the last couple of tithings I want to clarify are firstly I tried reaching out to him whilst I had the return request open and because I was unaware of how to cancel it as I didn’t know that the eBay app does not allow you to do that so I did it whilst that was ongoing I asked him twice to just send the item if nothing else works is it possible to send an item whilst a return request is open? Also does declining a partial refund affect that too? And lastly I want to point out that he has gone ahead and relisted the item now on eBay so does that mean he’s not going to deal with those case as of now? If so can I do anything about it or is it simply a win win for him

Its a bit of a mess. If the seller has relisted the item then it seems he is not going to send it. You can not open a not received dispute because you say you have already closed a return for an item you had not received. Go to the resolution centre at the bottom of the page and see if you can open a not recieve dispute just to make sure but I am sure you will not be able to do that. I cant see what you can do now

So I’ve checked on the resolutions and narrowed it down to ‘I haven’t received my item‘ it states on there that if the package doesn’t arrive by estimated delivery date (20th) according to eBay I can ask for a refund after that but in the meantime I have to wait. After the due date I can pursue a refund through eBay to get one because I’m ‘protected by the eBay money back guarantee’ and therefore can ask the seller for a refund or replacement which I’m not sure is affected by all the mishaps in between. It shouldn’t be? On top of that it’s supposed to come via Royal Mail but there hasn’t been a tracking number provided so I doubt it will come.
