Cancelling an item that’s awaiting payment

Someone bought an item off me but then messaged me to say they had changed their mind. The payment is “waiting payment” he obviously isn’t going to pay me because he doesn’t want the item. When I try and cancel the order on my end it looks like I’m having to send money back but if I haven’t been paid then surely I’ll be crediting the buyer with my own money? Can anyone help ?

Non payers have to be taught not to waste seller's time so you open and close an UNPAID CASE. Look in MORE ACTIONS. That gets your selling fee refunded.

Not sure what you did trying to cancel, it is simple enough, you select the reason "Buyers Request". Obviously if it wanted you to refund you have selected the wrong reason. I hope you have not marked as paid by mistake.
