Cancelled order

Hi all

First time seller.

I accepted  a bid from a buyer and last night he contacted to say it was a mistake and he doesnt want the item. 

Thats life but I want to get my item back listed ASAP.

What happens next?

You wait 4 days and ebay send reminders for them to pay 

If they dont then you or ebay can cancel after a full 4 days 

You get your final value fees back and the non payer gets a strike on their account

If they have paid then they need to send a cancellation request for you to refund their payment.

Dont cancel if they have not paid

Thank you for the reply. Can this be done quicker? Can he request a cancellation and I agree it before the 4 days?

You can but it is not the thing to do. That is your choice but by doing that you let them off the hook and they can do it to others. They could also leave you feedback. Put them on your blocked bidders list and set your buyer requirements to block non paying bidders
