Buying from China

Hi,

I recently purchased an item (relatively cheap, less than £30) and have realised the item is from China. I thought I had filtered out overseas listings, but obviously not. Anyhow, this isn't an issue as such, but just had an update to say the item is posted and not expected until the end of August.

I don't mind waiting a couple ofweeks for an item, and slightly longer if overseas, but 2.5 months is no good. I am unable to cancel my purchase as the seller has posted, what options do I have, if any. The listing now states times as long as September, but pretty sure that wasn't the case when I ordered..

Any constructive pointers appreciated.

Thanks

Obviously a multi listing with the estimated delivery if purchased today.

Look in your purchase history for your orders actual estimated delivery date.

What was the expected delivery date shown on the listing?

That should not change after you buy an item.

Once that date has passed by a day or two, then complete a case for I bought an item. I haven’t received it yet in the Resolution Centre:

http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

Escalate to eBay after 3 to 20 business days after opening the case if you have not received the item or a full refund in the meantime and eBay will force a full refund.

If the item was said to be in the UK but is now being sent from abroad, eBay does have a policy on item location misrepresentation and the seller can be reported for breaching that policy.
