Buyer claiming non delivery quickly

Started selling again after many years, and wishing I hadn't! Sold a lot of the same item and had no problem before. Then I sold an item to a person, and duly sent it from England to Northern Ireland, and less than 5 days later(including a weekend),she opened a case with Ebay saying that she had never received it. I emailed her instantly to kindly ask her to wait a bit longer,as post to NI takes a while longer, but got no reply.

Now Ebay are asking me to resolve this by tomorrow, otherwise it will affect my feedback, and they can force a refund. I have proof of postage, but not of delivery.  My question is two-fold,firstly,Ebay ask me to resolve this matter, but if the buyer doesn't even reply to my emails, then how can I? Secondly,I would like to ask Ebay about this particular transaction, but how on Earth can you contact them about it? They seem to instantly side with the buyer, even if like myself, you've been with them for over 10 years, and have a 100% positive feedback score.

Many thanks for any replies...Chris

No good trying to discuss with Ebay. They support the Buyer because they are covered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee. Just Refund ASAP you will then Receive a Fee Credit and avoid a Damaging Defect on your Account.

Buyers can open item not received case 1 day after estimated delivery date,

Did you add tracking to ebay when marking as posted, it is too late once case is open.

Cases are automated, so unless you can prove delivery, you have to refund buyer,

you then claim from carrier.
