Bid offer has disappeared from my eBay account

I made an offer on an item via my ebay account over weekend, but the offer was declined.

The notification was sent to my ebay account.

I  then decided to increase my offer only to find the the original offer notification along with the history has now disappeared from my ebay account and as such I was unable to increase my offer.

I must mention that offers I have made pior to this offer on other items still appear in my offer history but this offer and the information relating has dissapeard without trace from my ebay account.

I need to understand under the current ebay terms and conditions if ebay reserves the right to manipulate, delete, bid/ offer information without notifing the account holder.

I am deeply concerned as I am not sure if my account has been hacked into or what on earth has happened with regards to this offer?

I would be greatful if you could shed some light on this matter?
