Why when u are not sure of something ask ebay advice first take ebay advice then get stung  ebay do not honor refunds after saying by 3 diff ebay opps will get cash back they change mind after giving advice saying pay and u will be refunded no problem they lied and refused to refund am I best taking this to court as have the proof

Thank you for the update - if I understand you it was an expensive rare item from overseas.  On arrival you were asked for charges [presumably from Royal Mail].  I am afraid this is quite correct and all items listed from outside UK bear a warning that it may happen.  The charge would be duty and VAT [20%] and a clearance charge.  Your point seems to be that previously you may not have been charged but that does not matter.  There are some items that do not carry VAT [books for example] but cards do.

There is no way that ebay could have agreed [if they understood what you were talking about].  If you fail to pay the charges in fact on importation you lose any eBay protection.  The item would probably be returned and you would get no refund at all under the money back guarantee.

Why does everyone here thinks I am stupid either I not listened or explained properly somehow this my fault. For you information post office were even aware of these charges so how hell I supposed to know and when I have to ask post office its too late anyway I don't care or. Ot arguing rules ebay told me lies simple oh but I must have not explained Properly my point is ebay.bad info cost me money that's all I care about so get outa ebay **bleep** mate

Unfortunately ebay CS often give wrong advice.

The problem is that if you "ask" ebay something they may not understand the nuance of what the problem is.  There is plenty of written advice on the site and that is your best bet.  There are plenty of tools to solve problems as well.

And then there is "us" the experienced members.  There are many of us and if you tell us in some detail waht the problem is then we can probably advise and - if you follow our advice - all may be solved. 

At present as @pixiesen2012 implies we can only guess so please get back and amend your post as to the problem

Hi yes I ordered a psa 10 charizard vmax rainbow rare over 400 pounds took 3 weeks arrive but post office held it unless I payed 141.17 duty I called ebay first told them my dilemma as some cards no charge so was not ecpecting any here advice was told is part global shipping program, so pay the charge as I was not going to accept it ebay told me pay for it and provide the receipt tracking num ect and they will refund me no problem so I paid the charge and provided all that was asked of me then waited months they did not pay hrs and hrs on fone 3 diff operatives said I should get money back 3 times I did not have tge emails ebay saying will get my cash back but still refuse and just lost appeal with ton evidence in my favour so ebay made mistake which I have to pay for only way recocer money now is remove all my listings which I have done and won't buy again till resolved if not resolved ebay will lose me as customer but this way will recover money back not paying ebay fees if don't buy or sell owe them nothing as I said ebay promised but did not deliver in my opinion
