Amazon Reseller – What are my options?

Hi,

I've recently bought an item on eBay, which came directly from Amazon (Amazon Van, in Amazon Box and with an Amazon Packing Slip inside).

Isn't this against eBay's Terms and Condiions? 

"...listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay..."

What are my options?

Sellers are allowed to use Amazon as a Fulfillment service, that is different to the info you posted.  Do you actually know that the seller bought the item from Amazon after you bought from them?

And what do mean by 'options'?  Are you happy with what you bought at the price you paid?

Hi papso22,

I bought an item that was no longer available on Amazon, thinking the eBay seller had some old stock of said item.

Unfortunately, I didn't receive the item as described on the eBay Auction, I suspect, because they couldn't buy it on Amazon. And so I received a replacement, that I also believe was purchased directly from Amazon.

By "Options" I mean, how can I raise the issue with eBay regarding these sales. Or doesn't it break the above eBay rule?

you open an eBay not as described and the seller has to pay the return costs upfront.

All I can say is the tracking number I was given, for this order, doesn’t appear on Amazon’s parcel delivery tracking website, here: https://track.amazon.co.uk/

It is up to you to shop around.

Depending on circumstances this may be allowed, but if a seller can buy on Amazon then they need a big markup to make any money to cover Ebay and paypal Charges and make a profit.
