Hello James,
All you can do is to message the buyer explain the error and hope they repay you.
They can send the money back as a Friends and Family payment through Paypal. Nothing to enforce them to do so though.
You must understand how things work to protect your account and adding to the advice already given -
Leaving a false positive for the buyer because accidentally refunded them is serious feedback abuse that can damage your account and won't help in any way, just make matters worse.
Feedback is not a messaging system.
Transferring money from paypal to bank is straight forward, you do not have to go to individual transactions, it is the paypal balance that you transfer. You actually have to enter the amount to transfer.
I am afraid that unless the buyer is very honest you won't see your money again, even worse you still have to pay the selling fee and may have given yourself a Defect on your selling account, by refunding outside a case.
Just looking at your postage charges, before you lose more money you must use the correct methods of postage. Second Class Signed For is only suitable for items up to £50, if lost or damaged you have to refund buyer in full, but Royal Mail will not compensate in full unless you use the correct method of posting.
