Yes, dead easy to delete it.

I can only give instructions for the kindle touch.

With the list of books in front of you, put your finger on the title you want to delete, hold it there and a menu will appear - the last item on the menu is "delete this document".

same as mine!

hold your finger down on the book image on the carousel and then choose remove from device. It'll still be on the cloud if you ever want it again.

There should be an instruction book - it is however an e-book on the kindle rather than a printed book. It is likely to be called something like user guide.

There is also a kindle forum on amazon and often you will find that someone has already asked your question.

Stroppy, that list of books you gave me, I've downloaded onto my hard drive on my laptop. However, when I try to open the books, they aren't opening, all I'm getting is symbols and letters.

I don't appear to have the right programme to open the books any suggestions?

ta muchly.

Captain

2 methods of reading the books from the memory stick:

1. download the kindle app for your pooter from the amazon site. It is free, it is safe, it hasn't caused any problems on anyone's pooter that I know of. Once the kndle app is installed, you can just click on the book you want and it should open on the kindle app.

2. Connect your kindle to your pooter, using the lead supplied to connect to the USB port. Look in my computer and you will find your kndle listed as an external hard drive. If it gives you an option select "open folder to view files", if it doesn't double click on the kindle to open it as if it is a memory stick. If you look through the contents you will find one, probably called documents that contains the books. Simply copy the book that you want into that folder (either drag and drop, or copy and paste). When you disconnect the kindle from the computer, you should find that the book(s) that you copied are available on the kindle. Books that you add this way will never appear in your amazon "cloud" and if you delete them, you will have to copy and paste them again to restore them.

Good luck
