is it only me who likes the stuff, I love it!

made a big mistake the other day at a carvery, thought it was bread sauce so piled it on the plate......holey moley it was horseradish sauce!!!!

Love it , always make a really big pan full xmas day as the kids love it on their turkey/ham butties too

my father used to make it up with half the fluid, so it set in the bowl. I like it like that or as a pouring sauce.

Yes Stan, it's lovely on a buttie, with ham or turkey or chicken.

Captain have heard on here about bread sauce

what exactly is it.......... sounds........err....yuk

heat milk with onion and cloves (I don't put in the cloves yuk) let the onion infuse into the milk, then take out the onion and then add breadcrumbs until it thickens, yummy,  sometimes I finely chop the onion and leave it in the milk the other way is a bit of a faff if you are in a hurry.

I think it was a way of filling people up when meat was in short supply. I will have an extra slice of turkey please. You can keep the bread sauce! lol
