Beware of exploding clothes pegs, i kid you not .
One of my plastic peg has just broken as i was pegging washing out & the spring in it has caused the broken plastic to hit me in the face & cut me . I dont mind seeing blood as long as its not mine

Mine are in a small plastic basket with handles, from the £1 shop - never left outside

I've got nice coloured rubbery pegs from Lakeland which I keep in a purple plastic basket.
They do go a bit flabberly in the end, and some do get lost, but generally I like them.
I couldn't have wooden ones incase it rains and I have to touch them, honestly, wet wooden things make my teeth cringe.
Talking of cringeworthy things, foam also makes my teeth cringe and yesterday I drove past Harvey Nicholls (very posh shop in London) and their display windows were full of horrid, horrid foam! Yuk!

The best pegs I've ever bought were in Germany 30 years ago from a supermarket, and they're still going strong! They've never let me down, springs haven't rusted, plastic hasn't given up, in fact, they look almost as good as new! In recent years I've treated myself (:|) to new pegs from lots of other places - John Lewis, Sainsbury's et al, and they have all disintegrated in some form or another (yes, including the odd explosion)!
Not surprised that Lidl's are good Alison, it's a German company, isn't it?
Oh, my life - a discussion on clothes pegs :^O

I tell you I am obsessed with Lidl pegs. When I find them again it will be like finding the holy grail :^O
I found one at work the other day - god knows how it got there. I will post a picture later so that you can all admire it and look out for them for me hopefully so I can buy more!!
I am thinking I should get out more - and that's not in the garden with an armful of washing :^O
It is funny how such little things can make a difference to our lives!!

A Lidl's peg. The ultimate in German workmanship and engineering.

oh that's a pretty .... I'm sure someone will find some for you....have a look when you go to GYarmouth!!!:-)
I have mine in a little handbag I bought once, it was too small to be of any use in the end, but the pegs go in a treat, and it's waterproof, which is a good job really as it's stuck up the garden with the wash basket in all this rain:_|
