Don't know if anyone can help? I need to wallpaper a sheet of ply measuring 7ft x 4ft. As I just need a quick fix solution (just need it for a bit of fun) I tried using spray mount but it didn't work (not surprisingly!) so I think I need to resort to actually using wallpaper paste. Not sure how well this will work on ply though? Anyone got any advice or alternatiive solutions please? My wallpapering skills are zero! Thanks 🙂

If you seal the wood first with some paint the paste should work. Emulsion would do & is quick to dry.

Thankyou for the advice
So no quick fix then really??!! Was really hoping the spraymount would do the job! Quick and easy 🙂

I would have thought the paper was too heavy for the spraymount 😞
I'm not sure if you can still get it (I would have thought they do) but you used to be able to buy tubes of wallpaper adhesive, I remember using one once to restick a section of border 🙂

treat the ply with PVA... or... coat it with a layer of wallpaper paste.. let it dry and then wallpaper with more paste.

The wallpaper is unbelievably thick. Its sort of spongey too! I'll try as chez says and seal with paste as I have to make some up anyway. Failing that I haven't yet tried a staple gun or parcel tape......

I usually try industrial double sided tape first !!

You can get super strong wallpaper paste. In fact was somewhat amazed by the variety available when I had to do some wallpapering recently.
