TUESDAY'S tea thread

Gosh....after this time off with my son means that I am able to get tea prepared nice and early.

This evening boy is having spaghetti carbonara (with bacon) and I am having spaghetti carbonara (with mushrooms).

I am having trouble reading my computer screen as when I was frying the mushrooms I slightly overcooked them so there is now a haze of smoke hanging around LOL.

Re: TUESDAY'S tea thread

Much to hubby's dismay I got a couple of Pukka pies.  Chicken and mushroom for him and beef for me.  He's fretting because he doesn't know where the chicken is from!  Anyway, with that we'll have some mash (if these spuds out of the garden mash) and some perpetual spinach from the garden (never tasted it before) and carrots and gravy.

And (what an adventurous day!!!!) I got some tiramisu for afters.Man Surprised

Re: TUESDAY'S tea thread

When I get around to it we are having beef chili with rice and maybe chips.  Waiting on OH returning through the traffic.

The round to it is because son just wandered down and eyed the fridge hungrily, sniffed the air and said "where's dinner?", when I said when I cook it he pouted, sniffed and ate half the contents of the fridge(the half that didn't need preparing in any way)

He spent the morning  wondering where his breakfast was(in the packet on top of the fridge), then went off to play the organ, came back expecting lunch only to find me on doorstep awaiting the return of the car to go the bank and OH transhipping to his van.  Poor lad is probably starved AAHhh diddums!.

Re: TUESDAY'S tea thread

NOooooooooooooooo.  Mine is definitely, officially unique.  The world could not survive two of him.

Think they are all the same when it comes to food, cooking, eating!.  About 5 minutes after I posted OH came in looked longingly at our one remaining(not very nice) pork pie and helped himself to a bowl of cereals!.  And they both ate their dinner.

Re: TUESDAY'S tea thread

Don't I know it!.  late afternoon yesterday was out shopping and didn't buy any milk because we had a full 4pt!.  This morning we had run out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't fit too many bottles in fridge as one shelf is full of son's insulin - was on auto repeat when he was at Uni and it really didn't need to be but he kept running out. Refusing to order any more until there's a serious dent in the mountain!.
